What we collect
- Mobile number: your login. We send one-time codes to it.
- Name, city, email (optional) and, for sellers, business details.
- Delivery and sample addresses you enter at checkout or when claiming a free sample.
- Location: your device’s GPS position, only after you allow it in the browser, plus an approximate location derived from your IP address.
- IP address and browser type each time you sign in, order or claim a sample.
- Support chats with our AI assistant, kept so our team can follow up and improve answers. The assistant is powered by Anthropic’s Claude.
Why
- To show stores and stock near you and route orders to the nearest distributor.
- To deliver orders and let couriers and shops contact you.
- To prevent fraud and keep free samples to one per person and household. Claims from the same number, address, network or location may be refused or reviewed.
- To keep your account secure.
Sharing
The shop, distributor or brand fulfilling your order sees your name, phone and address. Courier partners receive your delivery details. Payment partners process payments. We don’t sell your data.
Retention and your rights
Account data is kept while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept as long as tax law requires, and sign-in and location logs for 12 months. You can withdraw location permission in your browser at any time. To access, correct or delete your data, or to raise a grievance, write to our Grievance Officer at privacy@localbazaar.in.
